Well it took longer than expected to arrive. Found at a lower price after the fact . Like the reel don't know how long it will last it has a plastic gear in it .Time will tell . It cast good have not caught a fish with it . The weather has been bad. Will keep using to give a better review.

I was using the dryad high speed reel fishing for lake trout. we pulled in about 8 Lakers. everything on the reel was working smoothly except for the drag, i had to essentially crank the drag all the way up or the line would releasing. other than that it was smooth reeling, liked the handle grips and performance was on par.

The reel surpassed my expectations.I got the right hand drive and it casts really smooth and far. It took a little while of adjusting the cast control to get it tuned in correctly but when I had it right it just was great. I mainly use a Senko type bait with no weight and this reel puts it where I want it to go. I have several of the expensive reels and it matches them just fine.I would recommend this reel to others because of the way it performs and of course the coast. Very good reel.

These new Dryad reels are the “real” deal!! They are suited for saltwater use but I’ve only used them in two bass tournaments and several non-competition days on the water. They are smooth as silk and have plenty of backbone to horse bigger bass out from under boat docks and such when used on my flipping rod.

The reel seems really good but the knob screw that holds one of the handle knob fell out a few times of using the reel. Had to replace the handle with a custom handle. Not to pleased on how it’s built so far but the reel itself is good

Bought 2 and matched them up with 7’6” St Croix medium rods with 30# braided line. Very, very smooth casting and retrieving. Long casts better than some of my reels that cost 4X as much! Actually thinking I might need to buy a couple more before people figure out how good they are and the price goes up. LOL

Different gear Ratios for different types of Lures I'm using and I haven't had 1 Break down yet..
I fish Bass Tournaments and you need to have Reels that line up with the type of rod your using with Ballbearings.
Savage are the Best Reels anyone will ever need.

Received this reel couple weeks ago, and have used it in two tournaments. It's very smooth in casting and retrieve . The bearings was a little dry first time out , and out of the box , but couple drops of oil , and no more squeaking. Liked it so much , just ordered my second one .

I was very excited to get my Fishing Savage DRYAD reel! I had plans of using the little reel for inshore fishing and some pond work. Topped it off with 30# braid and a short leader of 20# flouro and went fishing on a local 1/2 day boat. Once I dailed in the mag (#4 worked for me) the little reel is a great caster, very smooth in every aspect! I was a little taken aback at the retriev, the 7:1 gearing is more than I’m used to, but I got used to it quickly.
A perfect reel for inshore fishing and a great little reel for the price!
